Impact of expenditure 2016/2017

  • Sports Partnership funding provided children and staff with training and support in PE and games activities.

  • The profile of PE and sport was raised across the school and within the local community.

  • All staff benefited from quality CPD which in turn enhanced the quality of children’s PE lessons.

  • All children received skill development in gymnastics, athletics and invasion games.

  • More children were able to attend events due to transport provided by the school.

  • Play resources encouraged cooperative play at lunch and break time.

  • Gaps identified in PE resources were closed and value added by buying well made, long lasting kit.

 

 

Next Steps

  • Further develop the profile of PE and sport across the school and within the local community.

  • Renew gym equipment.

  • Employ a teacher who is a PE specialist.

  • Improve the playground environment, resurfacing an area for soft play.
